Susan Ruth Mcclaskey

Susan Ruth McClaskey age 70, of Lake Saint Louis, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on August 23, 2018. Susan was born on December 12, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was the daughter of Vernon and Ruth (Hackett) Adams. On, November 30,1968, she married the love of her life, David McClaskey. They began their life's journey together at the Ferguson Baptist Church in St. Louis. Little did she know just how exciting this journey would be with Dave. Together would have two beautiful and talented daughters.
Susan spent her life raising her children and supporting Dave with their various business ventures. She and David enjoyed traveling and all of the adventures and interesting people they met along the way. In her spare time Susan enjoyed reading, taking long walks with her friends and boating. However, her true joy in life was her family and her wonderful 5 grandchildren who she loved very much.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, David; daughters, Seanna (Scott) Johnson and Karyn (Robert) Bohannan; brothers, Timothy, Eric and Chris Adams; sister, Joan Miller; three grandsons, Nicholas and Nolan Bohannan and Jacob Johnson; two granddaughters, Margaret Bohannan and Grace Johnson; and five sisters-in-law, Linda Heidger, Barbara Sczesniak ,Geraldine Adams, Linda Adams, and Linda Adams. Susan also shared her life with several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 10:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions with Reverend Joe Bruno officiating. Susan's burial will immediately follow at 12:45 pm at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting friends to make memorial contributions in Susan's name to either MS Society, 12125 Woodcrest Executive Drive, Suite 320, St. Louis, MO 6314, www.nationalmssociety.org; or to the Friends of Kids With Cancer, 530Maryville Centre Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141, www.friendsofkids.com.
