She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.

Susan was born on December 22, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to James and Lily Buechler. From a young age, she exhibited a natural sense of honesty and warmth that would become the foundation of her character. Her upbringing instilled in her the values of integrity, love, and empathy that she carried with her throughout her life.

On July 17, 1990, Susan married Christopher Picquet on a mountain in Lake Tahoe, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey of love and companionship. Over 31 years of marriage, they built a strong and loving bond, supporting each other through life's joys and challenges and created a beautiful life together. Susan was a devoted mother to her four children, Tina (Jamie) Zmaila, Jeffrey (Heather) Mayfield, Samantha (Adam Dunston) Picquet , and James Picquet. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Susan's unwavering support, guidance, and unconditional love were the driving forces behind her children's success, and her influence will forever shape their lives.

As an amazing grandma, Sue cherished her 10 grandchildren, Nicholas Weber, Taylor Weber, Molly Mayfield, Kristen Mayfield, Gavin Mayfield, Lily Murray, Carter Dunston, Jake Zmaila, Abby Zmaila, Bailie Hall and a faithful companion, Dixie the pup. Her love for them was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Susan's legacy lives on through the memories, lessons, and love she shared with her grandchildren, who will carry her spirit forward. Sue was also great sister to two brothers James (Sandy) Buechler and Chris (Suzanne) Buechler, and an amazing Aunt to many..

Susan dedicated 35 years of her life to working at Schnucks Grocery, where she served her community with dedication, integrity, and a friendly smile. She made a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers, consistently going above and beyond to ensure everyone felt welcomed and appreciated. Susan was a graduate of the Riverview Class of 1968, and her school years formed the basis of lifelong friendships that remained dear to her heart. Her caring nature extended well beyond her immediate family, as she became known as "MAMA SUE" to countless individuals who cherished the love and support she offered freely. Her warm hugs and genuine care made everyone feel like part of her extended family. In addition to her personal and professional accomplishments, Susan actively participated in the Ft. Zumwalt North Booster Club, investing her time and energy in supporting the students and athletes. She believed in the power of community and the importance of uplifting others.
