Tammy Jean Cruz, age 54, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away in O Fallon, Missouri. She was born in Summersville, West Virginia on September 30, 1968 to Clyde and Brenda Rader (nee Chips).
Tammy worked as a machine shop worker, live-in hotel manager and the job she took the most pride in
was a Nursing Assistant. She loved to help and care for the people in the nursing homes. Her favorite
part of the job was listening to their stories.
Tammy was an avid knitter, gardener, craft and animal lover. She cherished her time with her two Sons
and 2 Grandchildren. She had a Special place in her heart for her animals, her 3 cats and her dogs Savior
and Dobby.
She loved playing card games, doing crossword puzzles and latch-hooking. She loved to walk her service
dog Dobby in the neighborhood, off leash, just to prove how well-behaved he is.
She enjoyed watching T.V, and YouTube. She was always listening to new music and old rock-n-roll. She
really loved old T.V. shows and movies like, I Love Lucy, Sanford and Son and Tweety Bird. She enjoyed
sitting outside and making a fire.
She was a beloved friend, sister, Wife, Mother and Grandmother or as she liked to be called, Grammy
Tammy. She will be Greatly missed by her family and friends alike.
She will be happy to be reunited with her son Anthony, Father, Mother and other Loved ones.
Tammy is survived by her Two Sons, Michael J. (Bridgette) Cruz of Winfield, MO, Alexander (Robin) Cruz of Saint Charles, MO; Two grandchildren, Hayden Cleveland, Kaelyn Cruz; Two Brothers, David Rader, Kevin Rader; Sister, Jennifer (Joe) Rohne; Former husband, Jaime Cruz, Jr.; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Clyde Junior Rader; Mother, Brenda J. Trapp; and Son, Anthony Cruz.
Visitation will be Monday, April 24, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376. A funeral ceremony will be held the following morning, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 10:30am also at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Park Lawn Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
