Teresa Lynn Lindsey “Terri”, age 64, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in St. Charles, Missouri. She was born on February 11, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri to James “Jim” Ralph Roberts and Elaine Rita Marie (Hellmer) Richey.
Teresa was a devoted caregiver throughout many roles in her life; as a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, friend, “second mom” to many, and nurse. Teresa’s love for humanitarianism and taking care of others led her to pursue a path of clinical care. She was an extremely skilled nurse, having worked for Pike County Memorial Hospital and Clinic for 25+ years in many different capacities. Teresa had a strong passion for helping the elderly, this inspired her various roles at long-term care facilities and her role at NECAC as a home health aide for many years. Later on in life, she continued this passion through cleaning for the disadvantaged, the elderly, or really just anyone who needed a helping hand.
Teresa absolutely loved the outdoors; she enjoyed camping, swimming in her pool, taking drives through the country, and hikes by the river – most of her favorite things involved nature. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. She was a true “animal whisperer,” having many different pets that loved her greatly throughout her life. Teresa also enjoyed her work as a hobbyist photographer and painter, watching the Discovery channel, and listening to classic and alternative rock. Teresa’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with her husband, children, and grandchild; family was very important to her.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 20 years, Kelly Lindsey; her children, Rhiannon Bunten, James Bunten, Brenna Lindsey, and Matthew Lindsey; treasured grandchild, Adria Carr; father, Jim (Theresa) Roberts; siblings, Steve (Cindy) Roberts, Patrick Roberts, and Amy (Paul) Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her dearly beloved furred and feathered babies.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elaine and Charles Richey; cherished son, Glennon Bunton; dearest daughter-in-law, Crystal Turner; and beloved nephew Scott Varno.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 14, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be private.
