Thelma "Gerri" Brooks
August 16, 1930 — February 12, 2023
Thelma Geraldine Brooks, age 92, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Saint Charles, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 16, 1930 to Floyd and Melba Miller (nee Boucher).
Gerri worked as an office manager at Florissant Medical Center for many years, and then Rainbow Pediatrics before retiring at age 72. She lived in Florissant for most of her life, later moving to St Peters, MO where she had many dear friends whom she loved so much.
Gerri grew up loving sports thanks to her Grandma and Grandpa Boucher. She especially loved Cardinals baseball. She even babysat some of the Cardinals players children in the 40's! She did not miss their games first listening on radio and later watching on TV.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Gerri enjoyed being with them whenever possible, loving how special each of them were to her. She was excited to have great-grandchild number eight joining the family in May.
Gerri is survived by her three sons, Kevin (Cynthia) Brooks, Kerry (Steve Davis) Brooks, Kent (Kim) Brooks; Five grandchildren, Kathleen Brooks, Samantha Brooks, J.R. (Michelle) Brooks, Rachael Erting, Mallorie (Michael) Nelson; Eight great-grandchildren, Colleen Appelbaum, Landyn Erting, Layla Erting, Lincoln Erting, Maycie Nelson, Charlotte Nelson, Josie Nelson, Baby Boy Brooks; Beloved Sister-In-Law, Nell Fitzwater; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Melba Miller; brother, James Fitzwater.
