Theodore F. Ternetz Jr., born on November 4, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, left this world on November 1, 2024, in St. Peters, Missouri. He lived a fulfilling life, marked by a deep commitment to his family. He shared his laughter and love with everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Theodore dedicated 32 years of his professional life to the Chrysler Corporation in Fenton, Missouri. His work was characterized by diligence and integrity, traits that he carried both at work and home, which made a significant impact on those around him.
An Alumni of Ritenour High School, graduating with the class of 1974, Theodore's sense of humor became a hallmark of his personality. He was known for his lightheartedness, always ready to share a joke or engage in playful teasing, which endeared him to many. He had a profound love for animals and an appreciation for the beauty of nature, often seen tending to his yard and garden, hobbies that brought him great joy. Additionally, he enjoyed playing pool, a pastime that he shared with family and friends.
Theodore is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce Ternetz; son, Ted Ternetz III; daughter, Diana Miller; and grandchild, Kayla Ternetz. His legacy continues through his three siblings: Linda Harrah, Kenneth (Laura) Ternetz, and Susan (Chris) McCreary; many beloved nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Frank Ternetz Sr.; mother, Vivien Grace Ternetz; daughters, Julie Ann Ternetz and Joyclynn Koren Ternetz; and son-in-law, Jason L. Miller. Their memories will always remain with those who knew him.
Services celebrating Theodore’s life will be held on November 11, 2024, at Sts. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church in St. Charles, Missouri. Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM. A graveside service will follow at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, beginning at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Theodore's name to Sts. Joachim & Ann Catholic Church in St. Charles, Missouri.
Theodore F. Ternetz Jr. will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him will live on in the hearts of many.
