Thomas Bajardi

April 23, 1951 — November 28, 2020

Thomas Bajardi, age 69, of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 in Wentzville, Missouri. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 23, 1951 to Bernard and Helen Bajardi (nee Kladis).

Thomas's greatest joy in life was his family, especially Corinne, his amazing wife and partner of 50 years. Time spent in a tropical locale, or any beach for that matter, took a close second. His favorite hobbies included playing golf and tending to his beloved lawn. Tom had the best lawn on the block with a serene waterfall in the back, the envy of every neighbor. Thomas was also an avid investor, thrill seeker, sports fanatic, and an all-around jokester. Long known for his positive outlook on life and his sense of humor Tom did not follow convention in anything he did. He lived his way; he died his way.

Thomas moved his family to St. Louis in 1984 to work at the new General Motors (GM) Assembly Plant in Wentzville, Missouri where he would retire from 30 years later. Tom worked in skilled trades as an electrician; however, his most fulfilling role was as an elected Union Official for United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 2250. In this role, Tom fought for others who did not have a voice as an individual.

Throughout his life Tom was a servant of God and his fellow man. He belonged to St. Barnabas the Apostle Catholic Church in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus to promote his faith, support his local parish, priest, and the community.

Thomas was a 3rd degree Freemason and a member of the Troy Masonic Lodge #34 in Troy, Missouri. As a Mason he always strove to be a better man, a better father, better husband, better brother, and better son. He was resolved in strengthening his character, improving his moral and spiritual outlook, and broadening his mental horizons.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Corinne Bajardi; his children, Tom Bajardi, Vince (Chrissy) Bajardi, and Danielle (Tim) Porras; his grandchildren, Quentin (Nicole) Bajardi, Hannah Smith, T.J. Porras, Dominic Bajardi, Will Porras, and Bella Bajardi; his siblings, Bernard (Diane) Bajardi and Janice (Fred) Victorson; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Helen Bajardi; and his brother Robert Bajardi.
