Thomas Michael Bossch, age 62, of Old Monroe, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Troy, Missouri. He was born in Clayton, Missouri on April 17, 1961 to Richard and Suzanne Bossch (nee Kohler).
Thomas was raised in Maryland Heights, Missouri. He graduated from Parkway North High School in 1979 and went onto graduate from University of Missouri St Louis with a degree in business in 1983. He later served in the United States Army before beginning his career in law enforcement.
Tom met the red headed, freckled love of his life, Tami, in 1989 and they married a year later. They went onto have 2 children that happened to (despite their poor judgement, as Tom would say) follow into their parents career paths as a police officer and nurse.
In his 34 years in law enforcement, Officer Bossch served in many roles including canine handler, detective and Major case squad. Officer Bossch dedicated over half his career to training and equipping officers to be safe on the streets through his roles as firearms, defensive tactics, and driving instructor. He consistently set an example of fairness, justice and integrity to the public and all officers whose lives he touched.
More importantly, Tom was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a member of Grace Baptist church for 34 years where he spent time as a deacon, middle school leader, and jail house preacher at Hall Street Jail in St. Louis alongside his grand father in law Jack Noblin. Tom was a servant, leader, and glowing example of godly manliness.
Tom is survived by his Wife, Tamra Bossch; his son, Thomas W. (Janeann) Bossch; his daughter, Suzanne (Jace) Meints; his grandchildren, Thomas R. "TJ" Bossch, Cora Meints, Daniel Bossch, Theodore Meints, Ella Meints, and Indie Meints; his parents, Richard and Suzanne Bossch; his sisters, Cheryl (Floyd "Butch") Lange, and Lisa Bossch. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church, 3601 Ehlmann Road, Saint Charles, Missouri 63301. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church, 3601 Ehlmann Road, Saint Charles, Missouri 63301. Interment will be private.
