Thomas J. Chapman Sr.

Thomas James Chapman, age 78, of Wright City, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 in Wright City, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 11, 1945 to Delmar and Emma Chapman (nee Pearson).

Thomas worked in Liquid Finishing at Lever Brothers. He was married to Geraldine Chapman for 38 years.

Thomas was an avid woodworker. He spent many hours in his woodworking shop creating all kinds of wooden furniture. Thomas also enjoyed a good word search and was an animal lover. His favorite thing in the world was chocolate!

Thomas is survived by his Wife, Four Sons, Matthew Chapman, Peter Chapman, Thomas Chapman II, and Shawn (Melissa) Chapman; Four grandchildren, Joshua Chapman, Emma Chapman, Mason Chapman, Kylee Chapman; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Geraldine Chapman; Father, Delmar Chapman; Mother, Emma Chapman; Two Brothers, Richard Chapman, Dale Chapman; and Two Sisters, Ruth Ann Self, Barbara McClelland.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, 2023 from 12:00pm until 8:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Additional visitation time will be held the following morning, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 10:00am until 11:00am also at Newcomer St. Peters Chapel. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00am with interment at Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum immediately following.
