Thomas Fletcher Davis, 80, of Warrenton, Missouri passed away peacefully and went to Heaven on February 9, 2024 at 2:23 pm. surrounded by many loved ones.
Thomas Fletcher was born in Memphis, Tennessee on July 18, 1943 to John Kirby and Lily Vance Davis. He graduated from Arkansas School for the Deaf- Little Rock, Arkansas and married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Jean Williams on October 24th, 1964. They lived together in West Memphis, Arkansas until they settled in St. Louis, Missouri in 1969 and began creating their beautiful family.
To say he just had a career as an auto mechanic is certainly an understatement. Thomas Fletcher had the skill to fix anything he put his hands on. Especially when it came to cars, he could find exactly where that funny noise was coming from through the vibrations. He began his successful and long career as an auto-mechanic at Bob Morrow Ford, in West Memphis, Arkansas. He later retired from Kribs Ford City, in St. Ann, Missouri after 25 dedicated years of service.
Thomas Fletcher developed a love of cars, engines, and Lionel trains from childhood. He was an avid enthusiast of RC planes, building as well as competing for many years in many different RC Flyer clubs. He had a love of deer hunting, in addition to competitive bass fishing for the Missouri Deaf Bass Anglers. Through these varied hobbies, Fletcher gained a very close group of loyal, lifelong friendships, which he cherished dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Davis, three daughters; Tammi Carol, Terri Lynn, and Traci Ruth (Ryan) Edelen. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren (Matthew, Nicholas, Katelin, Justin, Tyler, and Kailee), 4 great grandchildren, his brother, Larry Eugene (Carlene) Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
