Thomas Joseph Schnettgoecke passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on July 15, 2022. He was 69 years old.
He is survived by his wife Karen (née Schaffrin), his children Michelle Schrader (née Rooney), Sherrie Berryhill, Dani and Jake, and his grandchildren Alex, Rian, Celia, Brayden, Winston, and Katelyn.
He is preceded in death by his brother George and sister Nancy Blanchard.
Tom was born on December 7, 1952 in St. Louis, MO to his mother Ena (née Eckelkamp) and father George. He was a United States Airforce veteran. He worked as a laborer for the City of St. Charles for 28 years, where he eventually retired.
Tom always had a great sense of humor, which he maintained through his final days.
He enjoyed camping and traveling to the Caribbean. He loved Cancun so much, he'd set the temperature on his thermostat to match their summer temperatures.
He was an avid collector of precious metals, coins, and silverware from his favorite restaurants.
He had a knack for picking out winning lottery tickets and slot machines—a trait he did not pass onto his children.
His love for Busch beer and cigarettes aren't what did him in, but he certainly made it a lifelong effort.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
