Timothy Paul Ward

November 13, 1956 — October 2, 2023

Timothy Paul "Tim" Ward, age 66, of St. Charles, Missouri passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was born in Wichita, Kansas at McConnel Airforce Base on November 13, 1956 to Paul and Willa Jo (nee Mosher) Ward. Tim was married to his beloved wife, Kim Annette (nee Hladik) for 43 years.

Tim served in the United States Coast Guard from 1974 until 1981. He was a Pole to Pole Sailor, Boatswain Mate 2nd Class, aboard "The Glacier Ice Breaker" and then he served as a Coxswain on a 44ft motor life boat doing search and rescue and maritime law enforcement off the Oregon coast. He loved telling stories of his coast guard experiences as a heavy weather trained sailor.

After serving in the military, Tim accepted Jesus as his Savior. He surrendered to the call to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He attended Youth For Christ Bible College (Christ Unlimited Bible Institute) in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife. Upon graduation, they followed God's call to St. Louis, Missouri where they began St. Louis Teens for Christ in 1983. He served in this ministry until 2014 when he stepped down as director due to his declining health of early dementia.

Tim loved people (young and old) and they loved him. During his years of ministry he led many to the Lord.

Tim is survived by his wife, Kim; six sons, Joshua (Beccah) of St. Charles, MO; Jeremy (Kate) of Buena Vista, CO; Jordan (Whitney) of El Dorado, IL; Josiah (Lizzy) of St. Charles, MO; Joel of St. Charles, MO; and Justus of St. Charles, MO. He was also blessed by and proud of his eight grandchildren Breanna, Elisha, Ezekiel, Ezra, Samuel, Aurora, and Wilder. He is further survived by his parents, Paul and Willa Jo Ward; brothers, Randall (Linda) Ward, Stacey (Jonell) Ward; sister, Tracy (Chris) Ward Winslow; father and mother-in-law, Eugene and Pat Hladik; nieces; nephews; and many friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his granddaughter Isabel, as well as his grandparents.

Tim will be privately buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
