Dean Tyrone Dukes was born on January 31, 1963 to Charlene Evelyn Brown. Tyrone was the third eldest of ten children. He attended Crystal City High School in Missouri; and graduated from the St. Louis Job Corp as a certified chef. He has been cooking it up ever since. Tyrone accepted Christ in his life at an early age. God continued to walk with him throughout his life allowing him to express his creativity with a strong God-fearing spirit.
We will always reflect on the good times we shared along his journey with pride. Tyrone was a well-traveled model and adventurous performer. He loved fashion and became his own trendsetter. He was featured in Operation Grassroots Spring Fashion Show as a model; and starred in the Thriller production as "Michael Jackson" in Crystal City, Missouri. He received many awards as a performer in Tallahassee, Florida before finding his way to Kansas City, Missouri.
He enjoyed movies, playing games, and reading his bible. Tyrone lifted our spirits at every family gathering and loved his pets with compassion. He was a loving caring son, brother, cousin, and nephew. Tyrone was a protective uncle and mentor to his nieces and nephews; and a loyal confidant to those he called friends.
Tyrone was a jokester, unpredictable, and had a huge heart. He did not cross every "T" or dot every "I", yet nothing felt better than being with him. He was always honest and direct when he spoke to you. Tyrone lived his life to the fullest on his own terms. He will truly be missed!
Tyrone is proceeded in death by his mother Charlene Evelyn Brown and grandparents Walter and Flavis Dukes; brothers Robert Michael Brown, Jr. and Kwaisi Ares Brown; uncles Theodore Lloyd Barran (Dukes), Melvin Gene Dukes, Curtis Blanks, Sr. and Michael Brock, Sr.; and his aunt Loretta Flavadale Dukes.
He leaves to mourn his memory siblings Donald Rodney Dukes (Sharon), Douglas Terrance Dukes (Casey), Darla Flavies Dukes, Doreen Faith Dukes, Roslyn Michele Brown, Rolitta Marlene (nee Brown) Spicer (Albert, II), Roger Matthew Brown; sister in-law Regina Brown; and stepfather Robert Michael Brown, Sr.
Tyrone's memories will be cherished by his aunts Lillie Mae "China" (nee Dukes) Mitchell (Charles), Alva Jane (nee Dukes) Brock, Iris Babs (nee Dukes) Blanks, Brenda Barran and Pearl Dukes; and uncle Felix Walter "Buddy" Dukes (Lucretia).
Tyrone's life will continue to be celebrated by his loving siblings, stepfather, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many relatives, neighbors, and friends. In remembrance of him, like our beloved Mother he never met a stranger. We value every life experience we shared with Tyrone until the end of his faithful journey.
