Velma Earlene Allen, age 91, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022, after a brief illness. She was born on May 11, 1931 to John Eaphram Boyd and Emma Elizabeth Parce (née). Velma grew up in Harviell, Missouri. She was the youngest of ten children.

Velma was married on May 12, 1948 to Ralph D.L. Allen. The couple moved to St. Louis, Missouri when Ralph accepted a job at McDonnell Aircraft Corporation in 1949. She later worked at Skinner and Kennedy Co. as a printer of commercial calendars, binders, and other promotional items. Velma and her husband retired in 1991. They moved to DeSoto, Missouri where they built their dream home on 10 acres and enjoyed many wonderful years together.
