Vernon Roger Chilton

Vernon Roger Chilton, age 86, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 . Loving husband of the late Peggy Sue Chilton; son of the late Vern and Ethel Chilton (nee Armstrong); Dear father of Rebecca (Roy) Reed and Chris (Bruce) Wilson; Loving grandpa of Heather (Marshall Fowler) Reed, Joshua (Megan) Reed, Tony (Amber) Wilson and Dylan Wilson. Loving great grandpa of Chastity, Jenessa, Journey and Jack; Dear brother of the late Betty, Gary, and Sue; Dear uncle, cousin and friend of many.

Roger never met a stranger. He was strong in his faith and shared the gospel with everyone he met. Roger enjoyed gardening and planting flowers. He loved his grandchildren and being able to spend time with them. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral at 4:00 pm, the funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm all at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, Saint Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376. A graveside service will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Des Arc, Missouri on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 12:00 pm.
