Veronica Virginia Harding

Veronica Virginia Harding (née Degonia) passed away on September 11, 2023. She was 95 years old. Virginia was born to Ervin Degonia and Mary Magdalene "Mollie" (née Hopkins) and spent her childhood growing up in Ironton/Arcadia, Missouri.

Beloved wife of 70 years to Arthur Harding. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Virginia was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Virginia was active in the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. She was an active member of St. Dismas Catholic Church (St. Rose Philippine Duchesne). She was also a frequent recess monitor at St. Dismas Grade School in Florissant, Missouri. After raising her children, Virginia worked for JC Penney.

May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her loved ones will always carry her memory with them.

Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 2211 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield, Missouri.

Mass will be at 9:30 am, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 17 Ann Avenue, Valley Park, Missouri. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
