Victoria H. Cockerill, age 76, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021. Vickie was born on October 12, 1944 to George and Gerva Blanco in Long Beach, California. She was the oldest of 9 siblings.
Vickie worked as a waitress and bartender her whole life, her last job she was working for Spires Restaurant for years before retiring. She moved to Arkansas with her son, John, and her grandson, Cody. When her younger son Jim moved to Missouri, Vickie, John and Cody moved to Missouri as well. She spent her last few years of her life there.
Vickie will always be remembered for collecting frogs and loving the color purple. She was kind and loving to her siblings, and she was always there to help them out when they needed it no matter what.
Victoria is survived by her children, John D. Matson, Candy L. Lopez, Jimi D. (Rebecca) Matson and Chris L. Matson; her grandchildren, Robert (Rosie) Lopez, Tyler Banttari, Matthew Banttari, Cody Matson and Sandi Matson; and her great-grandchildren, Bella Munoz, Marley Munoz, Abraham Lopez, Emilee Banttari, Aubree Banttari and Aiden Banttari; her siblings, Rosita Menez, Patricia Blanco, and Jackie(Mike) Kinney; her nieces and nephews, Jim, Debbie, Brian, Vanessa (Ryan), Theresa, Scott, Patty, Gary, Joey, Alicia, Cruz, Rosa, Victoria, Alex, Danial, Robert, Jason, Michael and Erika; and many great-nieces and great nephews. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George E. and Gerva A. Blanco; her siblings, Georgana Phelps, Bill Blanco, Tonya Inman, Gary Blanco, and Anita Seide; and her nephew, Eric.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 5:00 pm, both on Friday, August 13, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be private.
