Virginia (Ginny) Dunleavy, 83, of St. Louis passed away peacefully January 14, 2019. She was born August 7, 1935 to Oliver and Hazel Wietholter. She is survived by five children; James Collier (Lorreta), Dave Collier (Sandy), Jeffry Collier (Kathy), Jennifer Whitt (Danny) and Chris Collier (Kristin) along with 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a brother Oliver Wietholter. Ginny was a woman of enormous love, humility, thoughtfulness and courage. An independent woman who faced life's challenges head on. A devoted reader and a profound lover of sports. Serving others was one of her specialties. She was a godsend for many parents by providing child care a week at a time, and she spent many of her days gardening and making quilts. Hundreds of these beautiful quilts were given to the Lutheran World Relief for needy people around the world. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons during her 83 years. Among them: if you have God, then you have it all. Ginny's hands were never still, but beyond the many hobbies she took part in, family is what she valued most.
