Virginia Settimo, born on August 10, 1937, in New York, passed away on February 26, 2025, in St. Charles, Missouri. She was a vibrant individual, known for her bravado, as she was a pistol and a fire-cracker who always spoke her mind. Virginia had a remarkable ability to bring laughter into any room, characterized by her generous spirit and constant thoughtfulness toward others.
A devoted sports enthusiast, Virginia was a die-hard New York Mets fan and had a deep love for hockey and baseball. Her passion for these games was rivaled only by the warmth and affection she extended to her family and friends.
Virginia leaves behind a loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Phillis Espinoza; three sons, Paul Espinoza, Arthur (Michelle) Espinoza, and Anthony (Holly) Espinoza; and her cherished siblings, Madeline Settimo Scaffa, Bobby (Beverly) Settimo, Toni Yanuzzelli, and Louise Settimo Nemeth. Virginia's legacy will also continue through her five grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Casey, Ava, Keith, and Anthony, as well as her three great-grandchildren, Jude, Andrew, and Avery. She is also survived by a host of other family members and friends who will remember her fondly.
Virginia was preceded in death by her father, Hugo Settimo; mother, Katherine Settimo; two sons, James A. Espinoza and Michael Espinoza; and siblings, Diane Moskowitz, Anthony Settimo, and Carla Rzucek.
A visitation is scheduled to take place on March 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters, MO 63376.
Virginia Settimo’s zest for life and her unyielding generosity will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
