William Alan Tate

June 20, 1938 — September 6, 2018

William "Bill" Alan Tate, age 80, of Lake Sherwood, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was born in Sandoval, Illinois on June 20, 1938 to the late Regis and Louise Tate (nee: Bundy).

Bill grew up in St. Elmo, Illinois where he met the love of his life Suzie Koeberlein, his wife of 60 years. Bill received his Bachelors Degree in mathematics and chemistry from the University of Southern Illinois Carbondale.

Bill worked for 33 years at McDonnell Douglas as a System Engineer and System Technician. Bill enjoyed fishing, antiquing, and being an avid fan of the St. Louis Blues and St. Louis Cardinals.

Bill is survived by his Loving Wife, Suzie Tate of Lake Sherwood, MO, Son, Kevin (Mariea) Tate, Daughter, Jennifer (Barb Sandusky) Tate, Brother, Ed Tate, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins and beloved special family members Levi and Tootsie Tate. He was truly loved and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Regis Tate, Mother, Louise Tate and Sister-In-Law, Janet Tate.

The family would like to extend our sincerest thanks to Dr. Nancy Bartlett and her care team, Siteman Cancer Center, BJC Hospice, Garden View Care Center and Right at Home Care for their loving care and support of Bill and our family.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Immaculate Heart-Mary, 8 Highway D, New Melle, MO 63365.

In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Nature Conservancy or the Charity of Donor's Choice.
