William Dale Bolyard, age 83, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022. The second of 4 children born to Dale and Laurine Bolyard (nee Smith) in Saint Louis, Missouri on September 7, 1939.
Bill was an avid thinker and always planned his work and worked his plan. He loved his family and spending time with them as much as possible. He began making dentures at the age of 15 and worked for himself for 68 years. Bill loved food and cooking. He proudly entered in chili and bbq competitions and won quite a few. So much so, that he bottled up his sauce and it was sold in stores for a time. Uncle Billy was in his element.
Even though he didn't pick up his first guitar until the age of 35, he worked at it and eventually became a full-time musician. He worked playing at O'Shea's downtown and lived right above the building. He played at many venues including Ground Round, Poor Richard's, Baha rock club, etc. He played in a band called Kalkin that had original music he wrote and played covers. At 82 years old, he was still singing along with his son Robert in shows around town from time to time.
Bill married the love of his life, Mary in 1975, and they were married for 47 years. They had 2 boys together Chris and Robert and they were in love until the day he died.
