William "Bill" Cassidy, age 59, of Saint Peters, Missouri was taken from this world way too soon from cancer Monday, January 16, 2017 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was proud to have been born in Dublin, Ireland, on October 30, 1957 to William and Margaret "Rita" Cassidy (nee O'Keefe) and he moved between US and Ireland a few times thereafter.
Bill was a Registered Nurse with SSM Health and had retired from TWA/American Airlines after 35 years. He enjoyed living his life, taking a ride on his motorcycle, listening to music and being a member of Transworld Union. He was best known for his sense of humor, compassion and devotion to his family, friends and job. On July 14, 2012, Mary Kaye Cassidy (nee Theiss) had the honor of becoming Bill's wife as they were married and jumped over that broomstick in St. Louis, Missouri.
Survivors include his Loving and Devoted Wife, Mary Kaye Cassidy of Saint Peters, MO and their Compassionate Son Collin Theiss-Cassidy. His Caring Children Cara (Mike Hobin) Cassidy of Edwardsville, IL, Liam (Katherine Avant) Cassidy of St. Louis, MO, Ceile Cassidy of Kirksville, MO, and their mother and friend Frances Cassidy (Dunn) as well as Brendan Cassidy of St. Louis, MO and his mother Margaret "Peggy" Smith. An Adorable Granddaughter Darby Hobin and Lifelong Friends/Siblings Ann (Late Michael) DiSanza of Inverness, Florida, Gloria (Conal) Newman of County Meath, Ireland, Andy (Irene) Cassidy of Dublin, Ireland, Greg (Debbie) Cassidy of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania and Sean (Samantha) Cassidy of Farmingdale, New York. Brother and Sister-in-laws Richard Morris and Ronald (Tammy) Morris. Not to mention numerous other family members and friends from all around the world. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rita in 2015 and Bill in 2005 as well as his in-laws Glennon and Janice (nee Knight) Theiss, sister-in-law Cathy (Lester) Warren and brother-in-law Christopher Theiss.
Bill requested to not have a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending a donation to the Cancer Support Community in St. Louis where Bill found comfort, support and love through his time battling cancer.

Bill will have a small family service in Ireland and rest for eternity with his Mom and Dad at The Church of the Assumption in Batterstown County Meath, Ireland.
Bill was a force to be reckoned with. He will be remembered dearly and missed greatly. Goodbye to a loving and humorous soul. Legends Never Die.
