William "Bill" Wagner, 68, formerly of Mexico, Missouri, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 in Lake St. Louis, Missouri.
Bill was born August 25, 1948, in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Clifford and Mildred Wagner. He retired in 2011, from the City of Maryland Heights. Many of his interests included hunting, fishing, raising cattle and traveling. He donated much of his time umpiring and coaching Little League Baseball and Girls' Softball. He served as Treasurer and Executive Board Member of the MHAA. He was also involved with the Optimist Club of Mexico and their baseball program. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends and was loved by all.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kathy Wagner; one brother, Leland Wagner (Judy) of Mexico, Missouri; Step-daughter, Christina DeVere (Christian), of Florida; and two Step-sons, Charlie and Will Roland, of St. Louis; grandfather to MacKenzie, Catlyn, Chase, Taylor, Cole, Kendall and Camden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Wagner and Mildred Woolfolk-Wagner; son, Mitchel Wagner; and step-daughter, Marci Parker.
Funeral services will be held at 6 pm Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376, with Pastor Charles Buford officiating. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm Thursday.
